The extended version

When I was 25 years old I led the world’s largest Cancer Diagnostics Manufacturing & Supply Chain. I was a young Engineer, but my influence in the workplace was notable. I felt privileged to have a sense of passion for my work, and I recognized that my career was going to play a major role in my life.

I have observed that many career-oriented people seem to have lost parts of themselves along their road to success.

Some lost joy. Some lost connection to a higher purpose. Some lost kindness towards others and themselves. Some lost loving relationships. Others lost authenticity. Many lost a connection to their creativity. And countless, being so focused on their career, lost a sense that there is more to life - that their life could be richer, more meaningful and generative.

Sensing ambition’s seduction, then and there I made a commitment:

I am going to be fully and wholly me

Growing in appreciation of the depths and dimensions of this commitment I’ve endeavored to understand what it means to be fully human - at work, in romance, among family and friends, in conflict and crisis, and especially when no one else is watching. Learning to live life as a full expression of oneself is learning

While advancing my career I’ve pursued forms of wellness and healing arts, culminating in my training as an Internal Family Systems Therapy Practitioner. This journey has brought into focus the imperative quest

to live life abundantly

to steward my influence for other's best

Today what I can say “About Allison” is...

I am an engineer turned biotech executive

I am a life coach and student

I am a writer and poet, a human and a healer

I aim to steward my time and talents to support others along their journey
